Joint Operation in Parkgate Targets Counterfeit Goods
Yesterday morning,(Saturday 13th September) officers from Ellesmere Port Beat, working in partnership with Trading Standards Officers from Cheshire West and Chester, executed a warrant at an address in Parkgate.
The operation resulted in the arrest of one individual under Section 92 of the Trademarks Act 1994, following the discovery of a large quantity of counterfeit football shirts and related materials being sold.
We’d like to remind the public that selling counterfeit goods is a criminal offence. Whether it’s online or at local events, if you’re identified as being involved in such activity, positive enforcement action will be taken.
This is another strong example of our ongoing collaboration with Trading Standards as we continue working together to keep Cheshire safe. |
